I took this image working as a gardener. I was digging in the mud and discovered a small cave some 50cm underneath some old floor tiles where there used to be a shed. It didn’t seem to have an entrance or exit, it was only a dark hollow space.

I couldn’t really see the inside. The only tool I had with me was my camera and the flashlight of my phone. I took a picture of the entrance and discovered untouched white eggs on my camera display. A colleague once told me about a kind of duck that lies its eggs in rabbit holes. But since there was no entrance to this cave this didn’t seem like a valid explanation. I like the idea that my camera and flashlight register things the naked eye can’t see.
