This picture was taken in Jackson, Mississippi.
I didn’t choose the location for a specific reason, it’s just a pit spot. The picture is part of an ongoing project, called No Place, that I have been working on for the last couple of years.
I’m interested in a world where time and place are insignificant. The visible world turns into a non-descriptive and maybe even magical concept. In my search for this universal, autonomous world, I am drawn to monumental sites with an inexplicably strange allure. This universe seems endless, spanning from Jackson, MI, to the end of my street.
