Veronica Nardulli

I grew up in Southern Italy in a town called Taranto, which is currently coping with the consequences of an environmental disaster caused by the steel industry. The house I live in now is located in a fortunately not so environmentally sensitive area — it’s called “Valle Buia”, the Dark Valley. The sun never shines. While the snow on all the trees had melted, this tree was the only one left, untouched by sunlight.
