Sergiy Barchuk

This photograph was taken in Barcelona, May 2012. My wife and I had just gotten married and went there on a honeymoon trip. We were both in our early twenties, working several part time jobs and having very little money to our name. We couldn’t afford to eat dinners at restaurants so we would sit outside, order wine and olives and people watch. These palm trees were in front of our favorite spot and will always be a reminder of that poor, yet very happy time.
