This was on one of the last walks through Almaty, right before my family emigrated to Germany. Before our departure, my aunt and her daughter got their picture taken by one of the many street photographers. The woman in the gray coat came rushing through the frame. My aunt was outraged. Getting a second photograph taken was out of the question.
