It was the second-to-last night of a month-long tour through Germany, Austria, and Switzerland with a band called “Die Orsons.” We were super euphoric and full of energy. Standing on the sideway, not knowing where to go, one of us said, “Let’s just go straight ahead and see where we’re gonna end up.”
That’s what we did. After crawling up hills and climbing over fences, we ended up in the backyard of Vienna’s AKH—one of the biggest hospitals in Europe. We went inside, and my friend Kaas started mopping the floors, using my buddy Maeckes as a mop.
Security kicked us out when we tried to start a wheelchair race.
